Miscellaneous

I know there are some of you that use Skype. Jason and I just started using it while I am traveling, and it is really awesome! I am able to see and talk to him, and he also shows me the pugs while we are talking. It does make me feel a little closer to home even when I am on the road! Poor pugs, though. They are so confused when they hear my voice but can’t see me. I don’t have a webcam on my end yet. I wonder if they will even notice when I do get a webcam and am on the computer screen.

One perk of traveling with this job is that I eat very well. I had a very delicious dinner tonight, complete with wine, from Bonefish Grill. Have you guys eaten there? It is verrrrry yummy. They are right beside my hotel, so I was able to order my dinner from there and have it delivered right to my room. For no extra charge! Can’t beat that! I had crab cakes and salad and some very delicious Cabernet Savignon. Very good. I am such a red wine girl. Mmmmmm! But I did manage to spill the red wine all over the orange couch in my roon. But I think I actually got most of it off. Whew.

Are you ready for the holidays? I am excited, although it seems that most of the world has forgotten about Thanksgiving and is going to straight to Christmas. I can’t believe how many people in our neighborhood already have their Christmas lights up! I love autumn decor, so I think I will keep it up a little longer. My brain just isn’t quite ready for Christmas decor yet.

Okay, I am done rambling. Hope you guys have a good week!

New Clothes!

We received a package today that we were very excited about! I probably shouldn’t show you these until Christmas, but I just can’t wait!

I ordered new Christmas outfits for Daisy and Oscar from Punchy’s etsy site. Not only are they beautiful, she got done and to us super fast! They fit perfectly and look so precious!

If you need any clothing for your pug, check out her site! It is great! Thanks, Punchy!

Thank You

Thank you for all of your concerns and well wishes about my job. Sometimes it just feels better to whine about it and then let it go. I just don’t know. Some days are pretty good, but then some days feel really bad. There are days when I feel like everything I have done all day is pointless and a huge waste of time. And the traveling is hard. I don’t think it would be so bad if I loved what I was doing, but I am just not loving it. I have never ever wanted my life to be all about my career, and there are days when I feel this job has taken over my life. I love to be home and spend time with Jason and the pugs and do things with friends and have time to work out and relax and read and look at blogs. I miss having that set schedule where I am at work at 8 every day and done at 4:30 and home in 15 minutes. I miss that structure and stability. I think I need more of that. But we’ll see. Some days I really feel like throwing in the towel and going to work at Starbucks. But for now, I think I will stick it out. I feel like I should give it at least 6 months, unless I have many days of despair. And I am really looking forward to the week-long holiday at Christmas. Thank you all for your concern!

Bargains

I know Halloween is over, but I had to show you the bargain I found at Target tonight. They had all of their leftover Halloween stuff 90% off, and I found these shirts for Daisy and Oscar for 49 cents a piece! I was pretty excited, and so were they!

New Career

I think I need a new career. Any brilliant ideas out there?

Happy Election Day!

Have you voted? I voted last Friday, because I am out of town today, and it really was an exhilirating experience. I know it sounds sappy, but I am so thankful we have a voice in this country and the right to vote. I had a great experience with early voting. I waited in line for about 2 minutes and was in and out very quickly. It was great!

I won’t tell you who I voted for, to avoid any controversy, but I am excited to see how things turn out. And we can then all breathe a huge sigh of relief when it is all over and we don’t have to watch anymore political ads!

Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! We had a party at our house and had a great time! But first things first…….

Oscar won a costume contest! Punchy and C hosted a “Bugs, Bees and Others” costume contest on their blog, and we joined in on the fun. Oscar and Daisy were part of the “others” category, and Oscar won first place dressed as Peter Pan!

Thanks Punchy and C!

And here are Jason and I in our costumes. Don’t know if you can tell, but I was John McCain and Jason was Joe the plumber. It was so fun!

It is a little hard to believe that another Halloween has come and gone. It is one of our favorite holidays, and it’s a little sad when it’s over. Hope everyone had a great day, and Happy November!

Pug-O-Ween

Daisy and Oscar and I went to the Denver Pug Club’s annual pug-o-ween party this weekend, and it was great fun! It was a beautiful fall day, and the pug costumes were so entertaining!

Daisy and Oscar were Peter Pan and Tinkerbell this year. They are excited to dress up again on Friday!

Texas Fun

Whew, I am on travel overload! I traveled to Texas this weekend for a quick visit with the fam and had a GREAT time! Josh had his last marching contest this weekend, so I went home to watch him. They were great!

Happy Halloween

URGENT REQUEST!  Message from Jason’s Bro-in-law (voting ends at 5pm today):

Greetings, and Happy Halloween! As many of you know, pumpkin carving is my second calling. This year I entered a carving contest with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and my entry made the top 10!

However, now it’s up to the public to cast their votes on their favorite pumpkin. I would appreciate any votes cast on my behalf! You can go to http://www.star-telegram.com/919/story/976411.html. Cast your vote in the box to the right; my entry is “Pumpkin Enemies” (see attached picture, or #5 in the slideshow online).

Thanks!
